SAY HELLO TO AMBER ADAMS
Hi, my name is Amber Adams. Being a writer, I love alliteration, and I thank my husband, Peter Adams, for rescuing me from a horrible last name. Pete’s a wonderful man who fills my life with kindness, generosity and the beautiful initials ‘AA’. I was having tea towels embroidered when we first married and cancelled the order when I realized what my initials also stood for. Oh well, it’s still better than my maiden name which I may divulge after we get to know each other better.
THE BEST PLACE IN THE WORLD TO LIVE?
ST. AUGUSTINE FLORIDA, OF COURSE.
If I weren’t so busy writing murder mysteries, I’d spend my non-beach time soaking up the tales of every historic bed and breakfast, especially the haunted ones. Everywhere I turn there are sights and sounds to fire the imagination. Cannons boom from the fort. Carriages clop through cobblestone streets. Music wafts from the Plaza. The masts of luxury yachts sway in the same harbor where Spanish galleons once anchored. And binding it all together is our beautiful, unique Bridge of Lions.
IT’S A MYSTERY!
I can’t wait to tell you about my Day McKelvey Mystery Series. Above the Fold is now available on Amazon and the second book in the series will soon follow. The novels take place right here in St. Augustine where my story’s heroine, thirty-five-year-old Day McKelvey, is a reporter for the fictional First Coast Dispatch. Day’s a divorcee with a number of complications in her life, including her other-worldly mother , Zanthia, and Sam , the handsome but married cop with whom she is having an off-again-on-again affair.
The first book in the series is Above the Fold , released December 13, 2013. In it, Day gets into serious trouble, both in her professional life and her love life. . Follow me on the Blog Page of this website to learn more about what’s happening with my plucky protagonist. Flip to the Events Page to find out what’s exciting in St. Augustine.
